reflection.

What do I like about blogging?
-=Blogging is a way for people to express themselves and to give opinion, thought and information. With blogging we will confidently voice out anything that we felt is not right and we are freely to give comment and give opinion. For this course we can reflect and express ourselves in this blog and freely give opinion without feel scared or threatened.

What I do not like about blogging?
-=I think, blogging is not that good because people can use it wrongly to influence other people.

What have I gained from blogging?How?
-=With blogging i can see others people opinion and i people also can comment on me and give suggestion and opinion to improve myself.

What do I like about the course?
-=This course has taught me a lot on technology to be used in classroom.

What I don't like about the course?
-=A lot of task to be done that make s me confuse which is task and assignment and which is more important. On the first few weeks, some of the instruction are not clear and always change. The time given is to short to finish the task. This is because we also need time to finish works on other subjects/courses.

What I have learnt from the course?
-=I learnt to use technology in classroom. I have learnt how to make e-book, photo editing, video editing, song editing and how to make video.

What I don't expect but have learnt from the course
-=I dont expect that i have to make all materials with technology. I thought we will learn how to make non-technology materials also.

What I have expected but not learnt from the course
-= I expect that we will learn both technology based and non-technology based materials.

If you can change anything about the course, state and explain what it is
-=In my opinion, the lecturer should also teach how to use and manipulate the non-technology based materials also. This is because not all the time we can use technology in classroom. Lessen the tasks and give clearer instructions.

Almost to the end

Now is already in week 13. We have been struggle a lot during this semester and i m glad it will be over soon. I almost broke as i need to buy cds and 4gb pendrive, papers and printer inks more than usual. This semester is a bit costly for me.
This is because i always need to throw all my works that i have done earlier away when the instructions changed or have been improvised.
However, i feel very happy taking this course as it make me become more techno savvy and i can used the technology instead of using traditional way to teach. Hopefully the school that i will be posted will be a bestari school where all the facilities are there. If rural school, it is quite difficult for me, as i dont have any idea to teach students and attracts the students without technologies.

Children software

This week are learning about softwares to be used in teaching. There are a lot of software that we can get from the market. However from my opinion, we cannot rely fully on it as some of the software are not suitable for our children. For examples some software used pig as the animals in the software. This is not suitable to malay culture. As teacher we need to consider all the software whether it suitable or not for children.

Put all the task and to be handed in again in a portfolio

Now, we have to put all the things, the tasks, tutorials that we have submitted to be handed in again in a portfolio. We need to hand in the original which the materials those we have submitted and a new one if we want to make improvement. We have to compile all the works that we have done. For me this is difficult as my PC have to be formatted and all the data and works that i have done have to be deleted because it has been affected by virus. I only can save certain files and just a some of my works.
Now, to hand in the port folio, i need to do almost 7 task again. Although it tiresome but i need to hand the port folio also in order to get marks. And i don't want to waste my energy by finishing all the tasks all along this long semester but i got nothing in the end. So i need to redo all the tasks.

Research analysis

This time around we need to mind a research and we have to review the research and makie analysis of the research. This task is very tough for us as we never do this before. According to mdm Foziah, we will do this when we are taking master or PHD later. Although i dont know how this task is related which is using and manipulating resource for teaching primary school children, but i try to finish this task during this raya holiday.
However i cannot manage to finish this task as i need to download articles from the net where it isquite difficult to find cyber cafe opened during raya holiday in my hometown.
I feel so down as I cannot finish this task and i m afraid of losing marks. Luckily this task is not compulsory to be handed in.

assginment 2 and 3

This week we are struggling to finish assignmnt 2 and 3
Assignment 2 we need to download the video earth song from the internet and extract the pictures and sounds from the video and make it as new material to teach primary school kids. This assignment is quite tough as at first i never thought that we can extract pictures from videos. Some of my friends has used the converter to convert the avi format to jpeg format to make the video into pictures. But this is not applicable for me as it will produce thousands of pictures where by pc are not able to keep those. So i juz use movie maker to snap the pictures and choose the pictures that i need only.
The second task is we need to choose any video from the net and use it to produce a new material. My friend and I has chosen the video we are earthling from sesame street video to teach about different types of animals. The challenge for this task we are to search the suitable video to be used and we must to be ensure that our other classmates are not using the same video. This is quite tough when we need to check one by one whether it has been used or not.

skills learnt

Now we are to used our skills learnt such as video editing, photo editing, song editing to produce a new material to teach any skills whether listening skills, reading, writing and speaking.
With this task we can apply what we have learned to be used in order to produce new material.
For example, ebook, pictures, or video. This will help us in future where we have to create a new material to be used in our classroom.
All the aspects have to take into consideration in order to make a good material. I have chosen to teach about food. I have downloaded some pictures from the internet and make it as an e-book to teach pupils about food.
